In the hot summer, one of the best way to keep being cool is to immerse yourself in the most unique swimming pool in the world, located in Copenhagen. This exotic pool will give visitors unique experiences, never seen anywhere in the world.
This public pool is located in the cultural center of Waterfront in Copenhagen. Visitors bathing here will feel like they are floating through the pyramids. The channels are made of transparent glass connecting each building together.
On the outside, open-air baths are designed as terraces, crashing into the sea. Each steam pool here has its own space, using natural light completely from large windows.
Kengo Kuma (Japan), who won in the competition to design this building, said: “We want to emphasize the importance of water in Copenhagen’s vibrant culture, history and urban life.” He is known to have designed the V & A Dundee museum in Scotland, and the stadium for the Tokyo Olympics.
This unique building is the convergence of art, architecture and landscape through the coverage of the water. This aquatic center covers an area of 5,000 square meters. Outside the pool, there is also a comfortable and modern place in health care and sports practice.
The center is expected to be completed by 2021, in an artificial land that is currently abandoned. This project creates a special connection between the land and the sea, bringing a new look completely to Copenhagen in particular and Paper Island in general. It is anticipated that tourists will visit more, providing a source of growth for the city.
If you have a chance of visiting Paper Island, remember to visit this unique construction and have great hours of enjoyment!
